Though we are pursuing 501(C)3 status we must be very clear. Nonprofit organizations, even ours, are a result from massive failures by our government. They have left our communities under-resourced whether due to direct intentions or ignorance. This oversight directly impacts the lived realities of the people we serve, affecting perinatal and infant mortality and morbidity rates and rates of incarceration. GCDC encourages all to put pressure on your state, local, and federal government officials. All birthing people matter.
